Common questions
What is SteamOS, and will it play my games?
SteamOS is Valve's gaming operating system — the same software that powers the Steam Deck, built for a controller-friendly, console-style experience. The large majority of Steam libraries run great through Valve's Proton compatibility layer. Before we build, we'll check the specific games you care about and tell you honestly how they'll run — including the handful of anti-cheat titles that don't support it.
I don't know anything about Linux. Is SteamOS still for me?
Yes — that's the point of how we ship it. We install SteamOS, load every driver, set up your controllers, and test it as a finished product. It arrives working like a console: turn it on, see your library, play. Every SteamOS build also includes a fully tested restore image, so recovery is minutes, not an evening of forum posts.
I already have a part list. Will you build it?
Absolutely. Send us your list and we'll review it for compatibility, flag anything that could be a problem, source the parts, and assemble, cable, and stress-test the finished machine.
I don't know much about PC hardware. Can you still help?
That's what we're here for. Tell us what you want the PC to do — the games you play, the software you run, the budget you have — and we'll design a build around it and walk you through every choice in plain English.
How is this different from buying a prebuilt PC?
Every build is a one-off, designed with you before a single part is ordered. You know exactly which components are going in and why, there are no mystery power supplies or proprietary parts, and the machine is assembled and tested by the same person you talked to.
Do you test the PC before it ships?
Yes. Every build is stress-tested under sustained CPU and GPU load, memory-tested, and checked for temperatures and stability before it leaves the bench.
Can you upgrade or fix a PC I already own?
In many cases, yes. Get in touch with what you have and what you'd like it to do, and we'll tell you honestly whether an upgrade makes sense or your money is better spent elsewhere.
